    ..located just south of the Bridge of Lions, Davis Shores is a convenient and desirable community for many who live in St. Augustine. The area was developed by extensive filling of wetlands just after the Bridge of Lions was constructed in 1926-1927. During World War II, homes were used as barracks for soldiers monitoring the coastline.

    …From the time Juan Ponce de Leon landed on Anastasia Island in 1513, many attempts for a permanent settlement on the barrier island were started and abandoned. It is thought the beacon was the first lighthouse built in the United States. It was replaced, but in 1880 was consumed by the sea.

The club is inviting and boasts a tavern, dining room with veranda and is open to the public. The golf course designed by Christopher Commins, offers 18 holes of exciting golf, lush foliage and wetlands. Originally built as an upscale apartment building where occupancy was strong, it was converted to individually owned condos with rental opportunities through the use of property managers. The residential part of the community is divided into price break, design, lot size and home size. Entry level homes are found in the Lymington and Kewsick sections.
